- Born and raised in Mysore, Karnataka, in a family that is highly artistically and spiritually oriented.
- Daughter of Sri Radhakrishna, an electrical engineer and a materials manager, and Smt Seethalakshmi, a senior lecturer in English, Science and Mathematics.
- Graduate in Science Education from the Regional Institute of Education (Mysore)
- Involved in theatre arts and played part in various drama productions.
- Began her formal training in Bharatanatyam at the age of 8 under Guru Sheela Shridhar (Mysore) and completed her Rangapravesha in the year 2005.
- Proceeded for advanced training under Guru B Bhanumati and Smt Sheela Chandrasekhar (Nrityakalamandiram) and has been learning under them since 2006.
