Sathyanarayana Raju is one of the most sought after male dancers and choreographers in India, who has been lauded for his soul stirring performances and staunch training techniques. He stormed the world of Bharathanatyam despite several obstacles, with enormous efforts, hard work, dedication and practice to be a complete artiste who is adored by audiences and critics alike. Over time Sathya has successfully made a mark in the world of dance that was monopolized by the feminine gender. He was trained under Sangeet Natak Academy awardee Guru Smt. Narmada of Shakuntala Nrityalaya and Guru Smt. Subhadra Prabhu in the Pandanallur style of Bharathanatyam. He was also trained in Kathak under Dr. Maya Rao and Smt. Chitra Venugopal. He is an ‘A-top’ Graded artiste of Doordarshan and has taken his art all over India apart from receiving popular acclaim in UK, USA, Canada, Switzerland, France, Maldives and Singapore.

Sathyanarayana Raju diligently essays multi-faceted roles of a dancer, teacher and choreographer while training several students at his institute “Samskruthi- The Temple of Art”. Several of his students have gone on to receive much acclaim and continue to pursue dance under his tutelage. His unique style of choreography has won the hearts of many art connoisseurs, which has led him to consistently be commissioned to collaborate with leading South Asian dance artistes and theatre artistes. His solo thematic presentation “Rama Katha” has received noteworthy appreciation in India and abroad. Apart from being a flamboyant performer he is also known for his organizational skills as he is responsible for conducting several dance festivals like Samskruthi and Shivarathri festivals under his banner.  Sathyanarayana Raju is an artiste who has always been driven by the passion he has for dance. His undiluted dedication to Arts over the years has been recognized by several institutions and his mantle has been adorned with a number of awards and accolades thus far.
