About Artist
Pranamita having a musical family background started formal learning of Hindustani Classical Vocal at the tender age of 3 with renowned artist Smt. Dipti Mukhopadhyay of Gwalior gharana. She also got opportunity learning from Pt Arun Bhaduri of Rampur-Sahaswan gharana in ITC Sangeet Research Academy, Kolkata. She did her B.Tech in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering started working in Ericsson as Telecom Engineer. After her transfer to Bangalore till date she is under the tutelage of Pt Vinayak Torvi of Gwalior and Kirana gharana. She has a great influence and guidance of Pt Pritam Bhattacharjee of Mewati gharana in her singing. She completed Sangeet Bivakar from Bangiya Sangeet, West Bengal and Sangeet Visharad from Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh successfully with Distinction. During this period she participated in many All Bengal Classical Music Competition and hold First position. She was attached with Kaushik Dhwanee Music Academy in Hyderabad and De-Sales Music Academy in Bangalore as Hindustani Classical Vocal Trainer. She has been honoured by Sarala Birla Academy Bangalore as a judge. She also performed in various stages in Kolkata and surroundings including Sur-Sangam Academy of Music, International Music Conference, Andul, Rabindra Bhavan Auditorium, Hyderabad and Bangalore and got lots of acclaims from audience and covering newspapers.
