Smt. Aparna Vinod is a Post Graduate in Business Management (finance), and completed her masters in Bharathanatyam from University of Tanjavur and also has completed Visharad degree in Bharatanatyam from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya. Smt. Aparna Vinod is a passionate artiste, under the tutelage of senior dance gurus, Guru B. Bhanumathi and Smt. Sheela Chandrashekar of Nritya Kalamandiram, Bangalore. She was introduced to the world of dance at a tender age of five, learning Bharatanatyam and Mohiniyattam. She won many awards and accolades for her Bharatanatyam and Mohiniyattam dance performances. Recently she received Aryabhatta award Karnataka, Yuvakalasreshta from BCKA Bangalore, Kerala State Natyaratna award for contributions to the field of Bharathanatyam, by Vayalar Samskarika Vedi. She was honoured with National Nrityashiromani award for Bharatanatyam at Cuttack Mahotsav for her outstanding dance performances and contribution to promote Indian Classical arts. Smt. Aparna Vinod is graded artist of Doordarshan and is the Director of Tharang Academy of Arts, which organises Tharang Utsav. She has participated in several performances of Nritya Kalamandiram. She has to her credit many solo dance performances at various stages like Soorya Parampara, Brahat Natyanjali, Chilanga Festival, etc. to name a few.
