Jayasree started learning dance from the young age of three and has been trained in both Bharatanatyam and Mohiniyattam earlier by Smt. Kalamandalam Bhagyalakshmi.
For the past few years, her talent has been rediscovered and sharpened by Smt. Gopika Varma. She has been part of many performances with her Guru in and outside Bangalore which gave her rich experience and great confidence in the perusing her passion. Jayasree has been fortunate to be part of regular dance productions of her Guru Smt. Gopika Varma and to perform at various prestigious festivals all over India. As a part of Dasyam, a few of Jayasree’s notable performances are – Kendra Sangeetha Nataka Academy -Tripura, Pravasi Bharatiya Divas 2017, Prayag Sangeetha Sabha, Times Sanskruthi Festival, Sankaracharya Prakatothsav – Indore, Hampi Festival, BCKA- Chilappathikaram 2015, IDA Bangalore, Kalarnava 2016, Drishti festival, Nadaneerajanam Thirupati. Jayasree also assisted her Guru Smt. Gopika Varma in her lecture demonstration session at Nrutya Rangoli dance festival and seminar.
