A prime disciple of Prof.M.R.Krishnamurthy, Prathibha learnt and taught at Kalakshithi, Bangalore for over two decades. Her initial training started under Smt. Padmini Hariharan at the tender age of 5. She underwent further training with Shri. Sheejith Krishna, Chennai. A recipient of the Aryabhata Award for her contribution to the art field, she is an “A” graded artist of Doordarshan, with a post graduate degree in Bharatantyam (MFA) from Bharatidasan University, Trichy. She is an empanelled artist of Indian Council for cultural relations (ICCR). Prathibha is also an accomplished Nattuvanar and a dedicated teacher who trains and moulds artists in this traditional art form under the banner of Abhijnaa Arts foundation, founded by her.
