About Artist
Aparna is a post graduate in business management. She has done Masters degree in Fine Arts in Bharatanatyam from Tamil Univesity, Tanjavur. She is a graded Doorsarshan artist. She is under the tutelage of Guru B.Bhanumathi and Smt. Sheela Chandrashekhar of Nrithya Kalamandiram. She has performed in Rasavikalpam organised by Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Academy, Chilanka festival, Cuttack Mahotsav, Chidambaram Natyanjali, Brahan Natyanjali, Friday programme in ICCR, Soorya Parampara, Ananya Nrthyollasa, Onam festival organised by Government Of Kerala,etc. to name a few. Aparna is also learning Hindustani music under tutelage of Smt.Rina Basu. Aparna is a gifted writer in Malayalam and many songs written by her has been broadcasted in All India Radio. Her journey as a writer has taken iinto screen writing. She has penned dialogues of two Malayalam movies ‘Kalyani’ and ‘Manjadikuru’. She is Director of Tharang Academy of Arts, Whitefield which is organizing Tharang Utsav 2016.
