About Artist
Janani Jayanth trained in Bharatanatyam under her mother and Guru Smt. Padma Murali for over two decades. An ‘A’ grade artist of Doordashan and empanelled artist of ICCR she has been invited to perform in several avenues in India and abroad. She has played lead roles in several productions of Padmalaya Dance Foundation. Janani is also an exponent of Odissi (Guru Sharmila Mukherjee). Apart from being a performer she is a voice over artist and is also a writer.
Poornima Kaushik trained in Bharatanatyam under the able guidance of Guru Smt. K.J.Sarasa. Currently under the tutelage of her mother-in-law Smt.Padma Murali. She is a graded artist of Doordarshan and the recipient of Bharata Ratna award from Ministry Of Culture, Govt. of Srilanka. She has toured several cities across India and countries in Europe and Americas for programmes. She teaches Bharatanatyam to young aspirants in Bangalore.
As part of Padmalaya Dance Foundation, Porrnima and Janani have performed together and presented several Ballads. They have performed in Natyanjali (Chitambaram, Kumbakonam, Tanjavoor), International Dance Alliance, Sai National Festival, Sangeet Natak Academy, Horizon Series by ICCR, etc.
