A life that is dedicated to the arts can be no ordinary life. Thus began the journey of Kiran and Sandhya, twenty five years ago when they chose Dance as their divine inspiration. Having been trained under the most reputed of Gurus- Smt. Padmini Ravi and the Dhananjayans, the Kirans embarked on this odyssey, with passion and fire in their hearts.
In the years that have gone by, Kiran and Sandhya have carved a distinct identity for themselves. They have been greatly lauded for their rendition of the Bharatanatyam technique, characterized by a flavour that is undoubtedly theirs. Their stellar stage presence, unrestrained spontaneity and exceptional creativity have distinguished the Kirans as performers of unique cali-bre. The Kirans have performed extensively in India and several countries abroad. Notable among their stage shows are-Pandit Ravishankar’s magnum opus GHANASHYAM, Kirans’s lead role op-posite film star Hemamalini in SAVITRI and RAMAYAN, the Hampi Utsav, SEHER’s ANANYA fes-tival, International Dance Alliance and many more. The Kirans are graded artistes of India’s na-tional television channel Doordarshan. They have also propagated their art on private channels in their shows Natyanjali and Hejje Mele Hejje on Udaya TV and Kasturi TV, and are empanelled ar-tistes of the Indian Council of Cultural Relations.
